Letting the Little Lies Leak in
What we need in our Christian walk is:
- To know when we’re being lied to.
- We need to know who is lying to us.
- We need to know how to differentiate between the Good News from Jesus, from the false teaching from imitators.
See, the false teachers of our day want us to believe that what the court says is the true law of the land. They want us to think that because in 1973 Roe V. Wade was victorious in aborting human life, that we must all accept this decision as acceptable, true, correct and the new normal.
Isaiah 40: 8 says,” The Grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our lord stands forever.” His word was, is, and will always be the standard upon which we are to build our lives.
These false teachers have an agenda that is their own, not God’s. They are the ones, who are telling you,
“You gave your life to Jesus, now you can live however you want and you don’t really have to worry about your salvation.”
Not only is Jude pointing out that these men are already among the church at the time, but they are godless men. This is the Keynote point that Jude is making in his epistle.
Remember God says, “Believe in me. Live in Me. Be in my Love.”
The False Teachers are saying, “Believe in yourself, Live with whoever you want to, Love whoever you want and do whatever you want because now that you are a Christian, you have a ‘Get out of Sin for Free card.’”
I’ve heard some people make the argument that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, not because of troublesome and overpowering force of homosexuality, but because of the lack of hospitality from all of the men within the city. I will be as blunt as Jude with this point… When you hear that argument, you were hearing it from a false teacher.
